Villagers hold meet to condemn ‘baseless’ allegations against Dharmasthala Dharmadhikari

Belthangady, Oct 15, 2013 :   The allegations made by Hindu leader Mahesh Shetty Thimarodi and the parents of Sowjanya  against Dharmasthala Dharmadhikari D Veerendra Heggade accusing the latter of shielding the culprits in the Sowjanya rape and murder case,  were strongly condemned at a meeting held at the Mahotsava Hall of Dharmasthala on October 14, Monday.

 

 

Here it is worth mentioning that the allegations were made in an interview aired by a private television channel at Bangalore.

Participating in the meeting, several  persons including Balakrishna Poojari, Chandan Kamath, Narayana Noorittaya, Haridas Gambhira and others strongly condemned the TV channel for airing the programme and wished Lord Manjunatha of Dharmasthala would punish those who made baseless allegations.

The meeting while seeking a CBI probe into the case and justice to the family of Sowjanya also prayed for the  departed soul of Soujanya.

The participants of the meeting also visited the temple and  prayed to Lord Manjunatha to ensure justice.

GP Chief Geetha, AV Shetty, Dhanakeerthi Ariga, Shishupal Poovani, Temple Manager RN Udupa and others participated in the meeting.
