Villagers excited when NRI entrepreneur lands helicopter on local helipad

Bantwal,(vitla) Jan 20, 2012 : The landing of a helicopter on the table top helipad in Punacha in Kollapadavu created a lot of excitement among the villagers. They rushed to the spot in large numbers just to see the helicopter.

Punacha is the native place of Razak, an NRI enterpreneur based in Abhu Dhabi, who had arrived a few days back. He had flown his private helicopter from Bangalore to Punacha so that he could take his ailing mother to a hospital in Dharwad.

Razak had also obtained the required permission from the district administration before landing at Punacha.

A table top helipad had been constructed long back in this village to facilitate the sprinkling of Endosulphan. After the ban of Endosulphan, the helipad had been abandoned.

Shortly before the entrepreneur landed at the helipad, a number of police officers and social welfare organizations inspected the spot and approved the landing.
