Various associations urge CBI probe into Sowjanya case; waves black flag to minister Rai

Mangalore, Nov 1,2013: The members of DYFI in association with CITU Forum Against Atrocities on Women, SFI and DSS staged a protest in front of DC Office on Nov 1, Friday demanding CBI probe into Sowjanya rape and murder case.

The protestors started the protest by shouting the slogans to arrest the real culprits and later marched towards Nehru Maidan during the Rajyotsava celebration and waved the black flag to the dignitaries.


The police tried to control the protestors who were trying to enter the venue; the police stopped them and took them away.


Speaking on the sidelines, District in charge Minister Ramanath Rai said that he would speak to the CM Siddharamaiah regarding Sowjanya case to hand over to the CBI probe.
