Udupi: Young boxer commits suicide by hanging

Udupi, Sep 05, 2023: A national level boxer ended his life by hanging himself at his residence at Shantinagar near Malpe on September 5, Tuesday.

 

Viraj Mendon


The deceased is Viraj Mendon (29). He was engaged in fishing works at Malpe port and had also represented India in boxing events.

The reason behind his suicide is not known. Malpe police have registered a case of unnatural death.
