Udupi Students to Represent India at International Science Conference in Tokyo

Udupi, June 14, 2025: Amulya Hegde and Nikita Mulya, students from Karkala taluk, will represent India at an international science conference in Tokyo, Japan, from June 15 to 21.

Amulya, a second-year science student at Amrita Bharathi PU College, Hebri, developed a "Flood Detector Pole" to save lives during floods, earning a bronze medal at the national INSPIRE competition in Delhi. Nikita, studying at Bhuvanendra College, Karkala, created the "Ropo Meter," a device for accurate wire measurement in electrical shops.

Guided by teacher Suresh Marakala, the duo’s innovative projects have brought pride to Udupi and will now be showcased on the global stage.
