Udupi: Serial accident in Kundapur, bike rider critical

 Kundapur, Oct 1, 2013 :  A macabre accident involving two buses and a bike on the TMC road in the town on September 30, Monday left ten persons injured, one of them critically.

If nine persons sustained injuries when a bus hit another bus from the rear, a bike which was moving in between the two buses too was almost crushed with its rider Noojadi Nagaraj Shetty, a teacher from Hunsemakki sustaining serious injuries.

One private express bus was heading towards  Udupi from Kundapur, while  another local private bus too was  proceeding in the same direction. The mishap took place when  the express bus halted abruptly to pick up passengers. The injured have been hospitalized. The front portion of one of the buses was badly mangled in the mishap.

Kundapur police have registered a case.
