Udupi: DC directs officials to ensure adequate facilities for tourists during Paryaya

Udupi, Jan 06, 2024: Udupi Deputy Commissioner Dr K Vidyakumari has instructed officials to ensure arrangement for smooth movement of traffic and also provide all basic infrastructural facilities to tourists and devotees visiting Udupi for the upcoming Paryaya Mahotsava.

 

She was presiding over a meeting held on January 5, Friday discuss arrangements in connection with the Paryaya. All road related works must be completed at the earliest, top priority must be attached to maintain cleanliness, solid waste disposal must be given priority and the CMC must ensure basic amenities to visitors including lavatory facilities, the DC said.

The DC also directed Tourism and KSRTC officials to offer brochures on tourist spots of the district by opening counters in the parking area of the Mutt. Help desks must also be opened she said and asked KSRTC to arrange for package tour services to tourist spots and also make special bus services.

Additional DC Mamatha Devi, SP Dr Arun K, ASP Siddalingappa, former MLA Raghupathi Bhat and officials of various departments were present.
