Mangalore, Sep 20, 2012 : Addressing reporters at his residence on September 19, Wednesday, D. V. Sadananda Gowda, former CM of Karnataka, said that the UPA government must dissolve the government and face fresh elections at the earliest possible as it has been introducing policies that will not lead to economic progress in the country.

dvs Further, he said that economists, reporters, and analysts have shown that the UPA government is taking the wrong economic decisions, adding that citizens have been made to feel that FDI is absolutely essential for India. He also accused UPA allies such as the DMK and Trinamool Congress of supporting the Congress while simultaneously supporting the bundh.

Regarding the drought issue, he said that a report on drought in Mysore and Yadagiri has already been submitted to CM Shettar.

When asked about Halady Shrinivas Shetty who resigned from the post of MLA because he was denied a place in Shettar’s cabinet, DVS said that he had already spoken to Halady. He informed reporters that Halady will continue as a BJP worker.
