Three Arrested for Illegal Cattle Slaughter in Kadaba

Kadaba, May 31, 2026: Bellare police have arrested three persons for allegedly slaughtering cattle illegally at a plantation in Manturu Mundatadka of Savanoor village on May 29.

The arrested have been identified as K. Abdul Rafeeq (37), Adrama Manturu (41), and Abdul Khader Panemajalu (57).

According to police, acting on a credible tip-off, Bellare Police Sub-Inspector Santosh B.P. and his team conducted a raid at the plantation on Thursday evening. During the operation, the accused were allegedly found slaughtering a cow and preparing the meat.

Police said the preliminary investigation revealed that the accused were engaged in cattle slaughter and meat processing without the required permit or licence. Meat and equipment used in the operation were seized from the spot.

The three accused were taken into custody and produced before the court. A case has been registered at Bellare Police Station (Crime No. 36/2026) under Sections 4, 7 and 12 of the Karnataka Prevention of Slaughter and Preservation of Cattle Act, 2023.

Further investigation is underway.
