Mangaluru, Nov 2, 2025: The Ramakrishna Mission’s monthly Swachh Mangaluru cleanliness drive was held on Sunday as part of its ongoing Swachhata Abhiyan. The November edition of the cleanliness campaign was inaugurated by senior Mumbai-based advocate C.M.G. Gangadhara Shastri.

Speaking on the occasion, Shastri lauded the Ramakrishna Mission’s sustained efforts, stating that such cleanliness initiatives not only keep public spaces clean but also purify minds and foster civic responsibility among citizens.
Principal of Trisha College, Manjunath Kamath, expressed pride in being part of the Mission’s nation-building initiatives through dedicated service.
Under the leadership of Kamalaksha Pai, a team comprising Damodar Bhat, Sukumar Salian, Aniruddha Nayak, Ganapathi Nayak, Vitthal Prabhu, Ravindra Kamath, and Nagesh cleared waste and plastic litter from the road dividers up to Hampankatta Circle.
Another team led by Souraj Mangaluru and Yogish Karyatadka, along with Subbiah, Ramesh Pai, and students of Trisha College, cleaned and restored the wall paintings on the compound walls of Wenlock Hospital by removing moss and dirt.
Meanwhile, Uday Kumar Padil and Gopal Krishna Bhat used water tankers to wash the pavements and remove accumulated waste and debris. The event was coordinated by Raghavendra and Vijesh Devadiga.
