Sullia: Bus conductor returns Rs2 lakh gold chain to owner, wins praise for honesty

Sullia, July 11, 2025: In a commendable act of honesty, a private bus conductor named Shashank returned a gold chain worth approximately Rs2 lakh that was found in the bus to its rightful owner.

The incident occurred on a private bus traveling from Sullia to Adur in Kasaragod via Mandekolu. A passenger traveling on the bus accidentally dropped a gold chain valued at around ₹2 lakh. The chain was later found by the bus conductor, Shashank, who promptly handed it over to the bus owner, Mohan Guruji.

Information about the lost chain was shared on social media, following which the rightful owner, Sirajuddin from Adur, came to Sullia. After correctly identifying the chain, he collected it from the bus driver and conductor.

The conductor’s honesty has been widely appreciated and praised.
