Mangaluru, Nov 21, 2017:  Karnataka Minister for Food and Civil Supplies U T Khader has been appointed by the Union Government as a Member  of the National Governing Board  of the prestigious Bureau of  Indian Standards (BIS).

A total of six members  have been appointed to the BIS at the national  level. BIS has the Union Food Minister as its Chairman.
