Rajasthani youth nabbed for stealing gold worth Rs one crore in Mangalore

Mangalore, Aug 19, 2013 : A youth identified as Sagar Gehlot hailing from Pali in Rajasthan has been arrested by the Mangalore police with the help of the Rajasthan cops, on the charges of escaping with his employer’s gold worth nearly Rs one crore in Mangalore.

Sagar Gehlot 1 Earlier, one Hasmukh Kimraz from Mumbai who resides in Mangalore had lodged a complaint with the Bunder police stating that his employee Sagar had fled with 3.6 kg of gold belonging to him.

Kimraz who was into jewellery business used to collect gold from various jewellery houses in Mangalore and send it to Mumbai to get jewellery in various designs done.

It is learnt, he had thus given the gold to Sagar on August 5 but the latter went missing since then.

The accused has been brought to Mangalore for interrogations. Investigations are underway.
