Mangaluru, Sep 30, 2025: Railways will operate one more special train between Mangaluru and Bengaluru to clear extra rush of passengers during Dasara holidays.
Train No. 06217 Yeshwantpur Junction - Mangaluru Junction Festival Special Express will leave Yeshwantpur on October 2 at 11.55 p.m. and reach Mangaluru at 11.15 a.m. the next day.
Train No. 06218 Mangaluru Junction - Yeshwantpur Junction Festival Special Express will leave Mangaluru at 2.35 p.m. on October 3 and reach Yeshwantpur at 11.30 p.m. the same day.
The train will have two AC two-tier coaches, three AC three tier coaches, 11 sleeper class coaches, four general second-class coaches and two general second class luggage cum brake van coaches (Divyangjan friendly), a release from Palakkad division of Southern Railway said.
As announced earlier, Train No. 06257 Yeshwantpur Mangaluru Junction Express Special will depart Yeshwantpur at 11.55 p.m. on September 30 and reach Mangaluru at 11.15 a.m. the next day. Train No. 06258 Mangaluru Junction Yeshwantpur Express Special will leave Mangaluru at 2.35 p.m. on October 1 and arrive at Yeshwantpur at 11.30 p.m. the same day.
Regulation of trains
Meanwhile, Train No. 16603 Mangaluru Central – Thiruvananthapuram Central Maveli Express, journey commencing on October 17, 22, 24, and 26 from Mangaluru Central will be regulated by 35 minutes en route.
Train No. 16348 Mangaluru Central – Thiruvananthapuram Central Express, journey commencing on October 9, 13, 16, 20, 23, and 30 and November 3 from Mangaluru Central will be regulated by 40 minutes en route.
It is to facilitate track maintenance works in the Thiruvananthapuram division on various days, the following changes were made to the train services, another release by Southern Railway said.
