Puttur: BJP leader’s son accused of rape and cheating; DNA report confirms paternity

Puttur, Sep 27, 2025: In a case involving allegations of rape and cheating under the pretext of marriage, the DNA test report has now been made public. The report confirms that the blood samples of the child match those of the accused, Srikrishna J. Rao, son of BJP leader P.G. Jagannivas Rao, establishing that he is the biological father.

The revelation was made at a press conference in Puttur on Saturday by K.P. Nanjundi, State President of the Vishwakarma Mahamandala. He said that the report, submitted to the court on Friday, has also been communicated to the victim’s family.

“This is an injustice against a poor girl from society. In earlier times, Sita Mata had to undergo an ordeal by fire; today, DNA testing is the ultimate truth. In this case, the report is clear and has already been submitted to the court,” he stated.

Nanjundi further demanded that Srikrishna J. Rao must marry the victim. “Marriage would be the best solution for both. We do not seek a prolonged court battle, but the law will take its own course,” he added.

He also urged Hindu organizations and leaders—including RSS, Bajrang Dal, Sri Rama Sene, as well as prominent figures like Kalladka Prabhakar Bhat, Nalin Kumar Kateel, and BJP district leaders—to ensure justice for the victim from the Hindu community.

The victim, her mother Namitha Acharya, and several association members were present at the press meet.
