Interacting with reporters, he condemned the attack and said that it will be discussed in the next Parliament session. Stating that the High Court has already raised concern over the issue, he said that the Karnataka Women’s Commission team has also visited the venue and will soon submit its report for discussion. I am disappointed with the police inaction. The administration is trying to divert the issue rather than finding a permanent solution.

Expressing his sadness over the recent attacks, he said that the activities of a few people are bringing shame to Mangalore, which is otherwise known for its rich culture and its educational institutions. He also said that the Human Rights Commission will enquire into the issue.

Blossom Fernandes, wife of Oscar Fernandes, Rohan Monteiro, J. R. Lobo, P. V. Mohan, Ivan D’Souza, Naveen D’Souza, Mithun Rai, Praveen Chandra Alva, Moideen Bawa, and many others were also present.
