Opposition parties protest against central government’s economic policies

Mangalore, Sept. 20, 2012: The people of Mangalore supported the nationwide bunch call issued by opposition parties against FDI norms and the recent diesel price hike. The BJP organized a protest against the UPA government in front of the BJP office in Mangalore.

Delivering the protest address, MP Nalin Kumar Kateel said that the prices of diesel and other commodities are continuously rising because of the central government’s faulty economic policies. Accusing the UPA government of being responsible for all the problems faced by common people in India, he said that the PM must resign if the Congress-led central government is unable to take any measures.

 

BJP Protest


BJP workers also organized a rally across Mangalore to increase public awareness. Among those who took part in this protest were Shrikar Prabhu, city unit president of the BJP, Nithin Kumar, Raghavendra, Kishore Kumar, and others.

 

CPIM Protest


Meanwhile, the JD(S) and the CPI (M) also protested in front of the DC’s office today. They shouted slogans against the central government. B. Madhava, district secretary of the CPI(M), and Vasanth Poojary, general secretary of the JD(S), delivered protest speeches on this occasion.

Among those present were Srinath Rai, Rathnakar Suvarna, Muneer Katipalla, Dayanand Shetty, and others.
