Mangaluru, May 24,2017 : Eminent writer Muliya Keshavaiah who had authored a Yakshagana prasanga on the life of Jesus Christ way back in 1976 has now decided to present it on stage by adding more dialogues. This is believed to be a maiden attempt to depict the life of Jesus Christ in Yakshagana which is mostly restricted to Hindu mythological sequences and characters.
Muliya Keshavaiah wants to attract the Christian community to this traditional art form of the coastal district through the Yakshagana on Jesus Christ.
The Yakshagana named "Mahachethana- Yesu Christha Mahathme" would be released on May 27 by Mangaluru Bishop Fr Aloysius Paul D’Souza.
