Mangaluru, Sep 02, 2023: Revenue officials of the MCC on September 1, Friday attached several shops at the renovated Alake market for defaulting on payment of rent despite several notices. The market is under the MCC administration.

Despite several notices as many as ten shopkeepers had not cleared the rent arrears amounting to nearly Rs 28 lakhs.

Following this the shops were seized. It is learnt, following the stern action, the tenants have now come forward to pay the rent.
