Mutalik sets 15 day ultimatum to check illegal cattle trafficking

Mangalore, Aug 19, 2013 : Sri Rama Sene Chief Pramod Mutalik has threatened to give a call for a Dakshina Kannada Bundh if the state government failed to  control cattle smuggling. The Sene leader has also set a 15 day ultimatum to the government.

 

 

Mutalik was speaking to reporters on the sidelines of a  training programme for the Sene workers at Sri Subrahmanya Bhajana Mandir, Neermarga on August 18,  Sunday. Mutalik also stated that the situation is alarming with the cattle thieves even going  to the extent of threatening cattle owners and stealing cattle.

He blamed the CM for the rising cattle thefts  and alleged that the state government decision to follow the anti-cow slaughter law of 1964 had led to a spurt in cattle thefts.

On the issue of infiltration of Bangla people into India,  the Sene leader said his organization is gathering details and will   submit a letter to the government. He said most Bangla infiltrants were working in coffee estates in Coorg and Chikmagalur and there were lakhs of them in India.

Mutalik said he will contest the next LS polls either  as an independent  or from any political party and that the constituency is yet to be finalized.
