Mangaluru, Sep 8, 2025: The Feast of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, popularly known as Monthi Fest, was celebrated with deep devotion and community spirit at Our Lady of Miracles Church, Mangaluru.
The solemn festive Mass was led by Rev. Fr. Bonaventure Nazareth, accompanied by several priests. The celebration began with the blessing of the new crop, followed by the offering of flowers to Mother Mary by children and families. A grand procession preceded the Mass, where the faithful joined in prayerful reverence.
During the Eucharistic celebration, thanksgiving prayers were offered, and devotees actively participated in the liturgy. At the end of the Mass, the blessed new crop was distributed among the faithful, symbolizing unity and gratitude. Breakfast was served, and sugarcane was shared, further adding to the joy of the occasion.
