Manipal sexual abuse case: Judicial custody of 2 accused extended

Udupi, Oct 5, 2013: The Udupi District and Sessions court has extended the judicial custody period of the  two accused in the case of alleged sexual assault on a 4 year old school girl of Manipal, upto October 19.

The two namely Shubhakumar and Sudhir were produced before the court on October 5.  Here it is worth mentioning that the two who are  employees of a private school bus of Manipal, had allegedly sexually abused the LKG girl after luring them into one of the school bus.

 

 The incident had created uproar and angry parents had even staged protest outside the school demanding an explanation from the school authorities.

Meanwhile, sources say there is a strong doubt among locals if at all such an incident had taken place. It is said prior to the arrest, the two had even sworn in a temple  that they had not erred.

However, the investigations against the two is underway based on the complaint of the child’s mother.
