Mangaluru: Three more arrested in drug supply case; cash and mobile phones seized

Mangaluru, July 9, 2025: In connection with a drug supply case, Mangaluru City Police have arrested three more accused and seized cash along with three mobile phones.

The arrested individuals have been identified as Mayaram (32) from Mohan Padwa village in Barwani district of Madhya Pradesh, Prem Singh Ram Pawar (48) from Chopda in Jalgaon district of Maharashtra, and Anil Prakash Koli (35).


Drug peddlars


The case was registered at Mangaluru Central Crime Police Station on July 2 under Crime No. 31/2025, invoking sections 8(c) and 20(b)(ii)(B) of the NDPS Act.

Based on information provided by drug users, the police had launched an investigation. So far, six individuals involved in supplying drugs to Mangaluru from Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh have been identified and arrested. These accused were produced before the court, which remanded them to judicial custody.

Following this, a special team was sent to Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh, resulting in the arrest of three more individuals. These latest accused were produced before court on July 9 and have also been remanded to judicial custody.

Three mobile phones used in the crime and cash amounting to ₹1,78,920 have been seized.

The investigation is ongoing, and efforts are being made to trace the remaining accused.

Officials and personnel from the Crime Police Station and the Mangaluru City Special Team were involved in the operation.
