Mangaluru, Dec 04, 2020:   Cascia High School celebrated Founder’s Day  and the inauguration of Platinum Year on December 3, 2020, The inaugural commenced  with prayer songs.

Rev. Eric Crasta, present Correspondent of the school welcomed all the dignitaries followed by the dignitaries lighting the lamp. Mr. Everist Crasta, Headmaster of the school introduced committee members. The secretary of Catholic Board of Education in his presidential address described and explained the importance of parental role along with teachers in educating children that this school has been known.

Swami Raghuramanandaji, swamiji of Ramakrishna Matt pointed various challenges of present education system and stressed on the importance of mental support in educating child. He also appreciated the efforts of founders of Cascia High School and teachers.

B.E.O. of Mangalore South Ms. Rajalakshmi appreciated and extolled the early efforts of Founder Monsignor F. X. Fernandes and congratulated school faculty for the inauguration of Platinum Jubilee Year.

Retired Headmasters of the school, Ex-teachers, Alumni association members, PTA members, Parish council members were present. Mr. Aruna Prasad Rai thanked all the invited guests for gracing occasion. Ms. Sunitha Crasta conducted the program.

Recap of the past :
1935 saw the start of the Casia Parish and church, with Rev Mgr F X Fernandes being in charge of it’s growth and labouring for 30 years.From an area of workers, now to a modern city area has been an apreciable growth. The local Tuluva population of this ancient historic area have been the back bone of this well known school and many of it’s students have excelled in great manner.  One is former Karnataka minister J Krishna Palemar. Former Judge of the Karnataka High Court, Justice Chidananda Ullal, in his message to a souvenir of his alma-mater said " I call the founders great soul for such a gift of education to the weaker classes,  a great contribution to the building of India without discrimination". Several former alumni too can be named. 1946 saw this Casia school recognised as an institution of great promise and that it has proved to be due to the great commitment and blessings of the management and staff through these 74 years.
