Mangalore: Transport company manager murdered at Valencia

Mangalore, April 8, 2013:  The manager of a transport company was hacked to death near the Mangala bar at Valencia late night on April 7, Sunday.

The deceased is Prashanth alias Pachu, manager of Sri Adhinatheshwara Roadlines. Sources said a group of around seven to eight persons attacked him all of a sudden with lethal weapons near the bar. His body was found lying in a pool of blood a  little away from the place where he had parked his Fortuner car which was also found damaged with the windows smashed. Police have also found blood stains inside the car.

 

 

The suspicion is that he was attacked while inside the car and might have been  killed  when he tried to escape from the assailants by getting out of his car.

The motive of the murder is not yet known. The identity of the assailants is also not known. The car keys of Prashanth were found near his body. He was the son of Sunder, a resident of Marakada, Kunjathbail.

The body has been shifted to Wenlock. Pandeshwar police are conducting the investigations.

An act of revenge : Latest information says, Prashanth alias Pachu’s murder was an act of revenge and in retaliation to the murder of Bejai Raja who was killed near Falnir in December 2012.

A Kannada news channel has claimed that it received a call soon after the murder, from one Vicky Shetty from Dubai claiming responsibility for the murder and stating that it was an act of retaliation for Bejai Raja killing.
