Mangalore, Dec 8, 2013: Over 2000 enthusiastic cyclists, both young and old enthusiastically took part in the Seventh BSA Hercules Rx Life cycle rally which was flagged off at Ladyhill in Mangalore on December 8, Sunday morning. The event sponsored by Rx Life, a fitness centre of the city was flagged off by Sushanth, Regional Manager (Chennai) TI Cycles India Ltd and K Ullas Kamath, Joint Managing Director of Jyothi Laboratories Ltd.
The event aims at popularising cycling among youngsters and also to sensitize them on the benefits of cycling which is not only environment friendly but also helps cyclists keep themselves physically fit.
In his inaugural address, Sushanth, appreciated the organisers for such an event which not only made cycling joyful but also enlightened the participants of its importance.
Mukund Kamath, Managing Director of Ideal Ice Cream Group, Vijay Simha, Vice President of Sriram Chits, Arun Kumar, Area Sales Manaager, Dinaker BS, Regional Manager, Badrinath Nayak, Partner of Jyothi Cycles, DM Majumdar, Deputy GM of Corporation Bank and others were present.
The rally covered a distance of 18 kms and reached Bharath Mall via Kottara, Kulur, Malemar and Derebail.
The event was held with the co-operation of various organisations including YHAI, Team Mangalore, Mangalore City Police and RTO. There was also a lucky draw and the winners were gifted with BSA Hercules cycles.
