Mangalore : Arogya-2013 healthcare equipment expo inaugurated

Mangalore, Dec 17, 2013 : State Health Minister UT Khader inaugurated Arogya-2013, the first healthcare equipment expo to be organised in Coastal Karnataka on December 16, Monday.

The three-day event is being held at the TMA Pai International Convention Centre.

In his inaugural address, the Minister said the government has plans to upgrade all government hospitals and equip them with better and modern healthcare facilities.

He said the government has chosen two government hospitals in Bangalore on a pilot basis and added the hospitals will be upgraded on par with private hospitals.

R Rajesh, Convenor of the expo who also spoke said as many as 58 healthcare equipment manufacturers are taking part in the expo which has on display equipment used in operation theatres etc.

A Scientific conference and panel discussion has also been arranged as part of the Expo.
