Mangalore, Oct 1, 2013 : Mangalore South MLA JR Lobo visited the Kadri Park in Mangalore and had a look at the condition of the park and the areas that needed development.



Speaking on the occasion, Lobo said there were plans to develop and extend the Kadri Park. Stressing the need to maintain the park in a better way, Lobo said there are plans to have a musical fountain and a children’s play area in the deer park.
More flower plants will also be planted, he said and added the developmental project will cost about Rs 5 crores. Lobo also informed that the project will be completed in one and a half years.
The MLA further said that there were plans to construct a commercial complex and also to charge entry fee for the park. The revenue thus accrued will be utilized towards maintenance of the park, he informed.
Ajith Hegde, Mangalore City Corporation Commissioner, Shashidhar Hegde, former mayor, Dr KR Shetty and others were present during the MLA’s visit.
