MCC team finds hotel kitchens in filthy condition

Mangalore, June 2, 2012: The Mangalore City Corporation (MCC) raided hotels and canteens in the vicinity of Navabharat Circle on June 2, Saturday.

 

The MCC team, under the leadership of health officer Raghunath, inspected Hotel Ocean Pearl and found nothing objectionable there. They then inspected Hotel Ayodhya and found that its kitchen was very dirty although its trade license was in order. They noticed that the plates and glasses were not sterilized and the food was kept open.

When they inspected Danish Shawarma Hut, close to Ayodhya, they saw that rotten fruit and meat was being served to customers. The MCC officers shut down the hotel and took the key.

The raid team comprised Manjunath Shetty, MCC environment engineer, and MCC inspectors Karunakar, Yashawanth, Bharath, Sushanth, Basavaraj, and others.
