Let Eid-Milad celebrations be simple : DC Rajendra

Mangaluru, Oct 18, 2021: Eid-Milad celebrations must be held in a simple manner by following all Covid-19 protocols, Deputy Commissioner Dr K V Rajendra has said in  his latest order.

Processions have been banned during the celebrations and not more than 100 people can participate in any religious discourse  to be held as part of the celebrations.

Mosques are allowed to  hold mass Namaz by adhering to Covid protocols. In case there are more people, Namaz can be held in turns. Use of loud speakers or digital sound system is banned. Masks are mandatory and  those above 60 years and children below 10 years are advised to  hold Namaz at homes.

No programme relating to Eid Milad is allowed in other auditoriums except in mosques, the DC has said in his order.
