Kundapur, Sep 6, 2025: Amasebail police have registered a case against Naveenchandra Shetty, head of the Ratteshwara Temple Management Committee, for allegedly misbehaving with a woman who visited his house to deliver an invitation.

The incident occurred on September 2 at Manimakki, Rattadi village. Police said the complainant, a 29-year-old representative of the Dharmasthala Self-Help Group, had gone to hand over an invitation for the Dharmarakshana Yatra programme scheduled for September 5.

Misbehave

While receiving the invitation, Shetty allegedly touched her inappropriately, pulled her close, and kissed her on the cheek against her will. The woman, shocked by the act, left the premises and later lodged a complaint with the police.

A case has been registered, and investigations are in progress.
