Khader said that the Congress party demands that all MLAs involved in the porn-viewing episode ought to be disqualified. Simultaneously, he expressed doubts that the mobile on which Savadi and Patil were watching porn clips belonged to former District-in-charge Minister Krishna J. Palemar.

ut 14He also rubbished allegations that he had forwarded porn clips to MLA Krishna J. Palemar, with whom he is very friendly.

The media had widely reported that the mobile phone on which BJP MLAs C. C. Patil and Laxman Savadi were watching porn clips belonged to Palemar. Media footage showed Khader and Palemar watching something on Khader’s mobile phone two hours before the porn-viewing news broke out. Immediately, the air got thick with rumors that Khader had forwarded the pornographic clips to Palemar.

Clarifying the issue, Khader said that he was showing Palemar pictures of bad roads he had taken on his mobile phone, adding that one of the photos he had shared with Palemar was a picture of his little daughter.

Khader expressed his regrets that certain people were deliberating associating Palemar’s name in the porn-viewing scandal although he had already clarified the issue before the media.

Admitting that he had made a mistake by using his mobile phone in assembly, he said that he feels mobile phones ought to be allowed in assembly because we now live in an age of advanced technology. He also said that people should not be allowed to misuse it.

Criticizing the BJP-led state government, he said that it is now famous for making promises it cannot keep. Speaking about the government’s failure to solve the state’s power problems, he said that the government has not generated even 1 MW of extra power during its four years in power. Besides, the government has done nothing for the development of DK, he said.

Referring to CM D. V. Sadananda Gowda’s statement that all roads will be free of potholes by December, he said that the roads remain full of potholes even in the middle of February. Urging the government to pay contractors’ bills, he said that the government must immediately call a legislators’ meeting to discuss this issue.

Khader said that he was unable to launch any development activities as the government has not yet released the MLA’s grant of Rs. 1 crore. He said that the government has released only Rs. 64 lakh.

He also said that the state government is yet to implement the recommendation of the Sixth Pay Commission for its employees. He also criticized the ineffective way in which funds are being utilized under the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Generation (MGNREG) scheme.

Meanwhile, Mr. Palemar has confirmed that he had indeed spoken to Khader a day before the porn-viewing episode.

Palemar said that Khader was unhappy about the bad roads in his constituency and had shown him pictures of those roads on his mobile phone. He also admitted that he had seen a picture of Khader’s daughter. The duo had also discussed Galaxy Notes and iPads.
