Kasargod: Stones on railway tracks-handiwork of children, reveals probe

Kasargod, Sep 05, 2023: Kasargod police who are investigating the case of finding stones on railway tracks at Nellikunje close by the railway station, have gathered information that it was an act by some children of the area.

 

The incident had come to light last Saturday when the Mangaluru-Chennai superfast express train was passing through the track.  As the stones that were placed on the track, broke into pieces, a major tragedy was averted.

Passengers of the train grew suspicious as the train was shaking more than usual and had informed the Railway Police who had visited the spot.

Police investigations revealed that some children studying in third and fourth standards were behind this act. Police later summoned the parents of the children and let them after issuing a warning.
