Mangalore, Aug 3, 2012: A Division Bench comprising Chief Justice Vikramajit Sen and Justice Aravind Kumar issued the direction during the hearing on a public interest litigation (PIL) petition that has set aside the question as to how the crew members accompanied the “moral police” to the site without informing the police or established authorities.

CamaramanThe other channels – TV9 Kannada, News 9 English, Samaya News 24, Kasturi News 24X7, and Janashree News – as none represented these channels though notice was served to them. However, the Bench ordered issue of notice to Public TV through the R.T. Nagar police. , Counsel for Suvarna News 24X7 channel Sajjan Povayya submitted that “as a principle of law, such an order may not possibly be objected to.” Following this submission, the Bench asked him to submit his channel’s affidavit in this regard.

To make matters worse the recent April attack on the principal of Bethani International Public School, Ramanagaram, was highlighted, wherein media accompanied the Parents who ruthlessly attacked, assaulted the principal on the charges of beating up their children in school. These uninvited, intentional interference of media everywhere only encourages such attacks leaving it loose to go haywire and leaving permanent scars on the society at large.
