Mangaluru, May 26, 2025: Due to heavy rainfall in the coastal and Western Ghats regions, the famous bathing ghat of Kukke Subrahmanya at the Kumaradhara River has been submerged.

As the Kumaradhara River is overflowing, devotees have been instructed not to enter the bathing ghat. They are only permitted to sprinkle the river water on their heads as a symbolic gesture.

The temple administration has cordoned off the area with ropes and deployed additional staff. Locals have urged authorities to appoint disaster management personnel at the site.

In response to the severe weather conditions, 25 personnel from the NDRF have been deployed to Puttur. Officials have been instructed to remain fully prepared in light of the heavy rain and strong winds.
