Geeta Samota becomes first CISF personnel to summit Mount Everest

New Delhi, May 23, 2025: Geeta Samota, a personnel of the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), has made history by becoming the first CISF member to scale Mount Everest.
According to a statement released by the CISF, Geeta successfully reached the summit of the world’s highest peak, standing tall at 8,849 meters.
She achieved this remarkable feat on the morning of May 19, marking a significant milestone not only in her personal journey but also for Indian women and the CISF.
