Itanagar, Mar 10, 2026: Two Indian Army personnel, including a Naib Subedar, were killed after their vehicle fell into a ditch in Arunachal Pradesh’s Upper Subansiri district, a defence official said on Tuesday.
According to a delayed report from the Army, the accident occurred on March 7 near Reddi village close to the India–China border. The vehicle was travelling from Gelemo to Taksing for operational duty as part of Operation Snow Leopard when it met with the accident.
The deceased have been identified as Naib Subedar Kulwant Singh of the 908 Field Regiment under the 56 Artillery Brigade, and Naik Pradeep Kumar Sharma of the 18 Sikh Regiment from Rae Bareli in Uttar Pradesh.
The driver, Amarjeet Gujjar of the 908 Field Regiment, sustained minor injuries and is currently undergoing treatment at Field Hospital Borarupak. Officials said he is out of danger.
