False promises are the only achievement of BJP govt: Kumaraswamy

Mangalore, Jan4, 2013: The BJP government in the state has achieved nothing in the past four years, except for making false promises, alleged State JD(S) Chief and former chief minister HD Kumaraswamy.

Addressing a JD(S) convention organized at Asaigoli Central Maidan near Konaje on January 4, Friday, Kumaraswamy said the corruption and misrule of the BJP government  has dealt a severe blow on the masses, particularly the poor and the middle class people. He also chose to say that the present government was the worst government which he had seen.

Kumaraswamy lashed out at former CM Yeddyurappa and countered the latter’s claim that he was a protector of the interests of the minorities and pointed out that it was during Yeddyurappa’s tenure that the church attacks took place.

 

 

Promising more sops if his party came to power, Kumaraswamy said all measures would be taken to supply clean drinking water to every home in the district and also title deeds to farmers owning Kumki lands. He further promised better amenities for Endosulfan victims and higher pension for widows and disabled.

MB Sadashiva, District JD(S) President and several others spoke. Leaders including K Amarnath Shetty, B Nagaraj Shetty, former ministers, Azeez Malar and Shakeel Ahmed were present on the occasion.
