Dr. Arun K. takes charge as new Dakshina Kannada SP, vows strict action against crime and misinformation

Mangaluru, May 30, 2025: Dr. Arun K. officially took charge as the new Superintendent of Police (SP) of Dakshina Kannada district on Friday, succeeding outgoing SP Yatheesh N.

After assuming office, Dr. Arun K. stated that maintaining law and order, as well as controlling criminal activities, would be his top priorities.

He emphasized that communal incidents and cases involving hooliganism would be taken seriously. There will be strict monitoring of rowdy-sheeters and individuals spreading false information on social media. Appropriate legal action will be taken against illegal mining, gambling, betting, and other unlawful activities if detected.
