Mangaluru, December 05, 2024: B T Obaleshwapp̧a the Superintendent of Dakshina Kannada District Prison has been suspended on charges of dereliction of duty. He has been suspended with effect from December 4, Wednesday until further notice as per the orders of DGP Prisons Devajyothi Ray.
The recent raid on the district prison during which prohibited goods were found in the prison, is said to be the reason for the suspension.
K N Mohan Kumar, Assistant Superintendent of Mysuru Central Jail has been deputed as acting Superintendent of District Prison.
