DCIB arrests culprits of Ramakrishna’s murder case

Mangalore, May 9: The DK district criminal intelligence bureau has arrested two people in relation to the murder of Ramakrishna A. S. (48), the administrative officer of KVG Medical College, on the morning of May 9, Monday. Ramakrishna was murdered with sharp weapons by unknown assailants on the night of April 28.

IGP Alok Mohan told reporters at a press conference held at the SP’s office on May 9 that the arrested are Renukaprasad and Manoj, who were employed at KVG Medical College. The police have seized Rs. 15,08,000, a Mahindra Pickup, a motor bike, two swords, and mobile phones from the two.

Reportedly, when the DCIB interrogated Sharan of Akash Bhavan, Shankar alias Bhavani Shankar of Bajal, and Nagesh of Sakleshpur, who were arrested late last week, they revealed that Renukaprasad, son of Kurunji Venkata Ramana Gowda, the founder of the education institution engineered the murder of Ramakrishna A. S. and hired killers Manoj, Nagesh, and Vaman to take revenge for taking main role.

SP Labhu Ram was also present at the press conference.
