Mangalore, Oct 31, 2013: The District Congress Committee (DCC) observes 29th death anniversary of late Indira Gandhi, former Prime Minister of India at District Congress office on October 31, Thursday.

 

 

 

Offering the floral tributes to the portrait of Indira Gandhi, Minister for forest, environment and ecology and district in-charge B Ramanath Rai said that Indira Gandhi was the best leader of this nation. During her stint as Prime Minister of this nation, she introduced many projects like green revolution and nationalization of banks among others. She made this country compete with other developed countries, he said.

Ibrahim Kodijal, Interim District President of the Congress party, former MLA Vijay Kumar Shetty, senior vice president B H Khader Bantwal, Congress Secvadal president H M Ashraf, general secretary Sadshiv Ullal, Women’s Congress president Mamatha Gatty, Kripa Alva, vice president Appi, Yashavanthi Alva and many others were present.
