Mangalore, Oct 28, 2013 :  Prakash Karat, General Secretary of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) has charged the Congress government of not having any genuine concern towards the social and economic development of the Muslim community.

Addressing a meeting convened by the CPI(M) in the city on October 27, Sunday to  highlight the several demands of the Muslim community, he said  despite the community confronting a number of problems, the government have shown least interest in  solving the same.

Senior writer Saara Aboobakker, CPI(M) leaders Srirama Reddy, KR Sriyan, M Madhava and others were present.
