Cong leaders take party and Government into different direction: Prahlad Joshi

Mangalore Today News Network

Mangalore, Oct 9, 2013: BJP state president Prahlad Joshi said that State BJP had demanded the minimum compensation of Rs 25,000 for arecanut growers, who had incurred huge loss, but the State government has announced a compensation of Rs 12,000, which is not sufficient.

Speaking at the press meet held at District BJP Office, he said that so far, a total of 5,000 cattle have died due to diseases; hence the government must immediately announce the compensation of Rs 25,000, so that it will reach the hands of beneficiary.

also urged the state government to give a break to their internal conflicts and concentrate on giving compensation to the arecanut growers and to those farmers who lost their cattle and then continue their party fights.

Joshi also said that the party along with the BJP national president had conducted the preparatory meeting for the upcoming Lok Sabha election in Mumbai recently to take the necessary decisions. Further it will also hold Lok Sabha convention before December 15, he said.

Comparing State government to a ‘Kumbakarna’ which is in deep sleep, he said that the government had announced the budget plans four months back, but still planned projects have not been implemented, except ‘Anna Bhagya’ which also has some defects.

Criticizing the congress leaders, he said that Congress leaders are busy commenting on their own government. The congress party and government are going in two different directions, he said.

Speaking on new proposal by the government, he said that PM’s office has received the recommending certificates to Muslims proving their innocence in terror activities. This is another way of fooling Muslims by government, since BJP believes that terrorist activities take place irrespective of caste and religion.

Former chief minister D V Sadananda Gowda, former district in charge minister C T Ravi, MP Nalin Kumar Kateel, MLA Sunil Kumar, MLC Monappa Bhandary, District president Pratap Sinha Nayak and Sulochana G K Bhat were present.
