Blood donation camp by NCC Cadets at Bharath Scouts and Guides Bhavan

Mangalore, April 20:  The NCC Cadets in collaboration with Barkhe Police officials and Bharath Scouts and Guides organized a Blood Donation Camp at Bharath Scouts and Guides Bhavan on Wednesday,  April 20.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Speaking after inaugurating the blood donation camp, I A Kairanna, MJF district Chief Commissioner said “Young generation should not be pressurized for donating blood, instead they should voluntarily come forward for the blood donation”. This is a good initiative to start a camp in order to impress the people to donate blood in the future.

K Vasanth Rao, ADC, District Secretary said that donating blood was not only a pious service towards the suffering humanity but also contributes significantly towards physical and mental well being of the donors. He urged the healthy students to donate blood voluntarily at an interval of three months.

H Shivaprakash, Sub Inspector of police, Barke police station, said that police department is playing a vital role during crisis. They are doing a noble job by serving the people who are badly affected by natural disasters by serving them.  More number of youth should come forward to join the blood camp, he added.

Dr Poornima Rao, HOD of Blood Bank, KMC and other doctors conducted the camp. K Ganesh Kudva, chemists organised the camp.
