Belthangady : Illegal abbatoir at Indabettu raided,2 arrested

Belthangady, Aug 5, 2013 : Two persons were arrested following a raid on an illegal abbatoir at Indabettu in Belthangady on August 4, Sunday. Four persons however were successful in taking to their heels. Police seized 100 kg of beef from the abbatoir and rescued six cows.
Those arrested are Irfan and Shabbir. Sources said those who managed to escape were Farooq, Mohammad, Ismail and Hasan.
Police have also seized an autorickshaw and an Ambassador car which were used for the transportation of beef.
Belthangady police are conducting further investigations.
