Beary study centre to be established in Doddamane’s name

Mangalore, Oct 3: Advocate B. A. Mohammed Haneef, the president of All India Beary Parishad, said that the Beary Study Centre, which is affiliated to the All India Beary Parishad, will be named after late Beary scholar and writer Dr. Wahab Doddamane. He was speaking to the audience during a programme held in honor of Dr. Doddamane on Friday. 

 

 

 

Recalling the fact that Doddamane had suggested the establishment of Beary Study Centre under Beary Parishad, Mr. Haneef said that the Dr. Wahab Doddamane Memorial Beary Study Centre will soon be set up.

Azeez Baikampady, the member of the Beary Sahithya Academy; Riyaz Bantwal, the member of the Bantwal Town Municipality Council; Rasheed Ullal, the vice president of the Ullal Dargah Committee; B. A. Akbar Ali, the vice president of Beary Parishad; Umar U. H., the general secretary of Beary Parishad; Imthiyaz; and reporters Ahmed Anwar and Hamza Malar spoke about their experiences with Dr. Wahab Doddamane. Ismail Kaikamba, a close associate of Doddamane, presided over the function.

Yusuf Waqthar, the social worker; Mohammed Kunjathbail, the former corporator; Abdul Azeez Haq; Basheer Kinya; Hussain Katipalla; M. G. Rahim, Iqbal Ahmed Kuthar; Azeez Bajpe; Ali Kunhi Paare; M. K. Khader; and the sons of Doddamane Thouheed Akeeb and Thazeeb and Doddamane’s son-in-law Shafeer were also present.
