Bantwal rises up seeking justice for Sowjanya

Bantwal, Oct 31, 2013 : A huge protest was organised at Bantwal on October 31, Thursday demanding a CBI investigation into the Sowjanya rape and murder case.

The protest held in front of the Taluk office at BC road was organised by the Bantwal Taluk Nyayapara Horata Samithi.

The agitators said that only a CBI investigation and ensure justice in the case and alleged that even the CID investigation is not satisfactory due to pressure and influence. They also demanded a thorough investigation into all cases of alleged suicides and murders reported from Dharmasthala since the past several years.

Lokesh Shanthi, President of Bantwal Taluk Nyayapara Horata Samithi, Bhanuchandra Krishnapura, Sridhar Amin, Keshav Naik and several others spoke on the occasion.

A memorandum was also submitted to the Governor through Malleswami, Tahsildar of Bantwal, seeking early fulfillment of the demand.
