Bantwal: Police seize properties of accused in illegal animal slaughter across three areas

Bantwal, Oct 17, 2025: Under the orders of the Assistant Commissioner and in accordance with the Karnataka Prevention of Animal Cruelty Act, properties and premises belonging to individuals accused of illegal animal slaughter in Bantwal Rural, Beltangadi, and Uppinangadi police station areas have been seized.

In the Bantwal Rural police jurisdiction, Nasir and others were found slaughtering animals on land in the Kerabal village of Sangabettu. The police have seized the accused’s house, slaughterhouse shed, and animal pen sheds.


Animal Slaughter


In the Beltangadi police jurisdiction, the house and vacant land of Mohammed Rafiq from Kuvettu village have been seized.

In the Uppinangadi police jurisdiction, the building owned by accused Mohammed Mansoor, located on J.M. Road near Kudroli in Mangaluru city—where illegal animal slaughter and meat sales were taking place—has been seized.
