Bantwal, April 26, 2023: A labourer accidentally slipped and drowned in a lake at Vamadapadavu on April 26, Wednesday.

The deceased is Vasu Poojary (52) from Ajjibettu village. The mishap occurred when he was working in a plantation. As soon as Vasu Poojary slipped into the lake, other labourers informed their owner and he was immediately lifted out of the water but he had breathed his last by then.

Bantwal Rural Police have registered a case.
